Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office
Sector: U - Activities of extraterritorial organizations and bodies
The Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF) Office has grown steadily over the past several years. It currently has a portfolio of over 50 distinct MPTFs and 31 Joint Programmes (JPs). The increasing use of MPTFs and JPs is a direct application of the Aid Effectiveness Agenda and UN Reform initiatives and responds to the need to provide flexible, coordinated and predictable funding to support the achievement of national and global priorities.

The MPTF fund administration supports the UN reform agenda of 'coordinated delivery for results' by enabling Participating Organizations to 'Deliver-as-One'. It is based on effective programme delivery and robust monitoring and evaluation that focus on achievement of agreed results. It supports effective humanitarian, recovery, reconstruction and development processes.
Besides the coordinated delivery of results, also the coordinated planning and communication on initiatives can yield substantial benefits, as explained at the Initiative Atlas page of the wikiworx platform.
There are implied benefits for donors.
