Enhance action on technology development and transfer to support action on mitigation and adaptation in order to achieve the full implementation of the UNFCCC.

The technology mechanism has two bodies who work together to enhance climate technology action:

• Technology Executive Committee (UNFCCC)
• Climate Technology Centre and Network (UNFCCC)

Note that the mechanism is distinct from the Technology Facilitation Mechanism defined in Addis Ababa Action Agenda - II. Action Areas - G. Science, technology, innovation and capacity-building: paragraph 123 - a Technology Facilitation Mechanism. It is mentioned in paragraph 123 - a Technology Facilitation Mechanism.
